If you have a chance, get the basic 4 experience at a hospital. Having said that, the hospitals don’t like hiring anyone without basic 4 experience, so…
Go to yahoo yellow pages and do a search for transcription. If you live in a populated area, you’ll get some hits. If not, try other transcription companies in other areas, because most do their files by Internet transfer.
I did the IC thing for a while, picking up tapes, etc., but I like digital voice files much better.
