Would it be dumb to leave this job?
I am working as a Customer Service Representative in a home medical equipment company. I only make 50 cents more than minimum wage. I am going to graduate school at night. The schedule is killing me. I feel like I dont have enough time to run everything right. My house is a wreck and I dont have enough time to dedicate to my homework. I am thinking of looking for something part time like at a clothing store or something. Would this be stupid? I just don’t think I can handle working 40 hours a week on top of graduate school. My grades are going to suffer. I just keep thinking this job does look good on a resume but I am going to school to teach so I don’t have to have this job anyway.
I don’t think leaving that job is a good idea. I agree with the previous posts in saying before you even consider leaving, make sure you have another job waiting for you. I know that’s even more work, education plus job plus applying for new job but it is a smarter plan. There are an insane amount of people out there right now who are qualified but still can’t find a job, even with education.
