How did all those new IPO’s make it and how could you and I create something at least semi big like that?

One usually does not create a big business out of nothing. Almost all big business began as small business that were well run and grew into medium sized business and then into large businesses. Remember Bill Gates beginning Microsoft in his bedroom? And Michael Dell beginning Dell Computers in his garage?

You see a lot of pharmaceutical companies because they can be very profitable businesses. So many make it because they have an awesome product to sell, and are very well managed.

Not all new IPO’s make it. A lot of IPO’s don’t make it. I once worked for a company which had an IPO. They got the cash they expected out of it, and nothing more, and went bankrupt about 5 years later.

You and I cannot create something “semi big” because I’m too old to be interested in a start-up company, and to put in all the time and effort and hard work it requires. But, if you do successfully begin something that begins to grow, I might be interested in investing some money into it.

There is no secret in getting venture capital. I just offered you some. All you have to do is meet a venture capitalist’s criteria. Start a business, manage it well, cause it to grow unbelievably and make a handsome profit and venture capitalists will flock to your door. I wish you well.
