What does a sterilization tech do in a dental office?
I have a job interview for this position but I’m not finding any good description online. Just looking for an overview, obviously it involves sterilizing the equipment that the dentist uses to clean & examine teeth, but I was wondering what other duties a person in this position normally has. Office duties? Or am I always going to be back in a room cleaning stuff with no social interaction? I’m very interested in getting involved in the medical field, and if I enjoy my job plan to take classes in the spring to further my education but don’t currently have any experience in this field.
Here’s a quick description, you are a dishwasher for dental equipment. You mat occasionally interact with the hygienist and patients but probably very rarely.
